General Information about our Cabins
CABIN GUIDELINES
The cabin you rent is just for your family. You MAY NOT have any other guests at any time. It is a private Resort for guests who have rented the cabin. Each cabin has a specific number of guests who can stay in it. We do allow one or two extra people if the cabin has a couch, at 10$ per night pp (see the max for each cabin )For your comfort " kids only" on couches.
What is in your cabin?
All Cabins come ready to occupy, ( sheets,blankets,plenty of towels, robes, hair dryers) You provide your own housekeeping, food and cooking during your stay.The kitchens have enough dishes and utensils for the number of people the cabin holds, there may be some things like salt/pepper and condiments, but no food. There are coffee filters for the coffee makers. We provide toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap and shower gel. Anything we don't provide you are responsible for. We are on hand to help with your needs.There are laundry facilities in town. Each day we empty your outside trash barrel and clean your hottub, otherwise we don't bother you. But if you have any problems with your cabin please let us know right away so we can make it right!
All are complete with gas grills, picnic tables and ALL have a private Hot Tub on a deck outside of the cabin. You may want to bring beach towels for hot tub and river use.

ALL CABINS have river access,and lovely views of the canyon and river. They are furnished comfortably in a style appropriate to our mountain way of life. Wood burning fireplaces/stoves ( buy firewood in town) and satellite TV are in most cabins, none have telephones and most do not have air conditioning, because of our perfect climate! Wifi is on the property, in hot spots, and some cabins have good reception , some don't . Remember your cell phone may not work here.
PETS
All cabins are NON SMOKING inside, Pet Friendly. Small dogs 20#
All Pets must have reservations .We limit the number of dogs per cabin to two well behaved small animals. The cost per night is $15 for each pet.Pet owners must pick up after their pets every time and always be on a leash when outside. We have pet poop bags for each cabin and around the property.. When you are out, the pet must be taken with you, or put in a krate inside.I have small krates you can borrow. There are day kennels in town if you need to get away from pet responsibilities for awhile! Any damages done by the pets are the responsibility of the pet owner.If the pet becomes noisy and disrupts the pleasure of other guests, the pet will have to go to a kennel in town.
Don't forget our Glampers! Nice RVs by the river, for 2 people, they have a couch and a bed, but max 2 people. A super nice alternative for camping or renting a camper, we did all the work for you, and you have tv and wifi! Call us 970 586 3406
Cabins Descriptions
Thunderbird Cabin
The Thunderbird - tradition says when the storms came the giant birds from the north flew in on the thunderclouds. Tastefully furnished in Lodge/Santa Fe decor, this side has 2 master suites, both upstairs, with full baths. The master bedroom with a magnificent tall king 4 poster bed, has a view of the canyon sunrise, it is spectacular as you look out at Bear mountain. The second bedroom has a queen bed, full bath, and a window that looks out to the river below.
On the main floor of this spacious condo is the living room, with gas fireplace, satellite TV and plenty of seating. Ceiling fans in each room make our cool nights comfortable. Also located on the main floor is a full eat in kitchen, and half bath. The back door opens out to the patio where your own hot tub and gas grill are located. You will love the new southwest/cabin decor.
The house sits on the side of a hill so you go upstairs to enter the front door. where you find a large covered deck , with a large horseshoe shaped bar and 4 comfortable chairs for your enjoyment. The cabin sits on a cliff overlooking the river in the back. Take the "black diamond" path to the riverside picnic area with lots of seating, and a firepit. Another firepit is located up the path to the top of the cliff, a spectacular view. The firepits and riverside area are shared with the Poenix,but you have lots of room, almost 2 acres for these 2 cabins! Thunderbird has lots of stairs and may not be suitable for someone who cannot easily navigate them. The paths are steep but don't you come to the mountains to climb on the rocks??

Phoenix Cabin
The Phoenix legend says that the Great Phoenix Bird was destroyed by fire but rose from the ashes.
Couples or families, you will really like this cabin with its new cabin/southwest look!
The master bedroom has a wrought iron king size bed, and full bath with tub. The second bedroom is also a comfy king, a full bath with tub, and a window looking out at the river below. The large living area on the main floor has satellite TV, , full eat in kitchen, and half bath. Ceiling fans in all rooms make our cool nights very comfortable. There is plenty of seating around the gas log fireplace.The entire cabin has a new look, warm southwest decor that is very pleasing, and lots of Georgia O'Keeffe art prints.
Out the back door is the patio with gas grill and your own hot tub. The covered second floor front deck has a bar table and 4 chairs for your enjoyment.It sits above the parking garage, and is reached by a flight of stairs from the garage level. It is a two story house and has lots of stairs, not suitable for someone who can't navigate up them well. But don't you come to the mountains to climb on the rocks anyway?

The Encantado
Named the Ranchito Encantado by the old gentleman who built it for his bride in 1945, it means enchanted, or loved! ( In-kan-ta-do) This rustic charmer has 2 bedrooms and one newly remodeled bath with walkin shower, you return guests are going to love what we did to this cabin, with it's western theme. It has vaulted ceilings, great views, and is located right on the river, so close the sound of water will lull you to sleep at night. The master bedroom has a King bed and wild horses won't be able to drag you out of it, the loft bedroom has been remodeled into a sweet woodsy getaway, with two comfy queen beds.
The spacious living/dining room features satellite TV and a large sandstone fireplace and original stucco walls. It is a cool cabin, no AC is necessary, fans are provided for your comfort. The large back deck has picnic table, gas grill, private hot tub, and a wonderful view of the river, all sitting under hundreds of ancient ponderosa pine. Beside it, is the Oso cabin, which shares the front porch entrances. They are separate enough to enjoy your privacy,or the two can be rented together for larger groups yet have separate entrances . The Dancing Bear
(was the Oso)
Just another day in Bearadise! What a great cabin, whimsical, and full of bears left by guests. But these are toy bears, not like the real black bears you may see by the river! This 2 story cabin has a distinctive romantic mountain style, and dancing bears are everywhere in its theme. It has a full updated kitchen with a glass top convection oven. The cozy living room/dining room has sat.tv and a camdlelit fireplace .
The master has been transformed into a true retreat, with a king sleep number bed, and an epic lighted headboard made by John from a barn door. Enjoy the wonderful linens and fluffy pillows. Ceiling fans in the LR and master bedroom make our cool nights more comfy. We do not have ac, it is rarely warm here. The sound of the river is amazing in the master and all areas of the cabin. The adorable bath is beside the ground floor master bedroom and has a 3/4 size antique claw foot tub/shower.
Up the spiral staircase is the upper bunk room with a private balcony overlooking the river and forest. It reminds you of a tent, comfortable enough for adults, but lots of fun for kids. There are two full beds and a little reading nook here .
Oso is our pet name for the Dancing Bear!
Enjoy your large outdoor hot tub on the back deck by the river under the stars, where you also have a gas grill for cookouts. Make memories at the firepit and picnic area by the river! Its quiet and beautiful location will make you want to stay here all summer and is the quietest spot on the property. Enormous ponderosa pines tower overhead.
You will just love the Dancing Bear, a romantic retreat for two or four. It shares the front porch with the Encantado, but has a separate back deck with a privacy screen between . and you fill find it very private. The two cabins can be rented together for larger groups. The Pinewood Cabin
What makes a cabin so well loved by all our guests? Maybe the huge Aspen Log king bed, the centerpiece of this one room cabin. Maybe it is the twinkle lights on the high ceiling, the rustic feel of the exterior, the location? Maybe all of these. All our return guests who loved the Pinewood, you should see what we did to her! Now the cabin has a beetle kill pine wood plank ceiling and floor, ceiling fan, gas fireplace, plus the small kitchen and bathroom. To give you some ammenities you like, we added a flat screen tv, a comfy lounge chair and a bistro table for two. On the covered porch facing the river is a dining table and chairs, and some comfy antique chairs. A few steps away down the boardwalk is a deck with your private bubbling hot tub under the stars and yet another bistro table and chairs, you will enjoy every inch of this cabin. A firepit by the river is a great place to spend the evening. The kitchen is complete enough for a weeks stay, and if the free wifi does not have a strong signal, come up to the pond patio by the office to do your work online.(or leave your work at home for once, this is a time to renew and relax. Our nights are often cool enough in the summer to use quilts, so only fans are provided. Every inch of this little cabin is meant for romantic encounter!

The Alamo
Alamo is the spanish word for the Aspen trees that cover our riverbanks. When we bought this cabin it's profile reminded us of the Alamo in Texas, hence the new Tex-Mex decor . It was once the home of a spanish priest back in the 1940s, or so the story goes! Now it is a favorite for romantic couples.
The Alamo cabin overlooks the Big Thompson River, and is under a towering rock cliff, giving you a marvelous view of the river and canyon walls with a firepit right on the river. I would say it is the most private of all inside its walled patio. Closest to the road but very well insulated and quiet inside, and night time traffic is very minimal.
The cozy and romantic bedroom has a queen bed and bathroom w/shower. Wrap yourself in our fluffy robes and spa towels and sleep on high quality linens in a comfortable handmade pine bed.
Your living room has two huge wing back chairs to watch tv and enjoy the wood burning fireplace. The little kitchen is just right for preparing your vacation meals and is fully equipped. The bubbling private hot tub is just out the bedroom door on the covered porch facing the river. A walled private courtyard has lovely natural landscaping and old pavers stepping down to the cabin. Willow
You are going to love this Tiny House, done in country chic and over the top romance!. This wee little cottage is sweet and rustic. .I think the little people lived here once, their magic is still seen in the twinkle lights on the pergola over the hottub and the twinkling twig ceiling in the bedroom where the sound of the river will lull you to sleep.
Lots of outdoor deck space and a green yard make the little cabin feel larger than it is( it is small!). The front looks like a tent cabin, with the covered pergola and tent swags where again you have twinkle lights everywhere!..
A kitchenette to cook your meals with the help of a gas grill on the front deck,simple!. A table for two and umbrella on the front deck are for dining al fresco. There is a table and bar stools with umbrella on the deck in back, by your own private hottub.. where you will spend much of your time viewing the cliffs and the river.
The small bedroom is great for togetherness and has a comfortable plush queen bed!, The adjacent bathroom has a shower. Compact but complete and well equipped, it has just what you need for the most splended romantic stay!. You can view interior photos by clicking on the photo tour link below.
On cool nights stay warm at the firepit by the river, where there is a picnic table and a shelter.If you see the little people dancing by the fire just tip your hat and smile!

Stay at the Timberlodge rv and experience our version of 'Glamping". This 34 ft rv has a full kitchen, bedroom living room with big screen tv, even a faux fireplace inside, a gas grill and a firepit out on the spacious deck by the river, with great views and river access. This is for two people, but it has a couch and a queen bed, in case you need separate beds.
All kitchen stuff and linens are furnished.. NO AC, don't need it here in our cool climate. You will enjoy the comfort of a room with the rustic feel of the great outdoors. They are secured to the ground so they are not wiggly, and its a great camping experience with comfort and conveniences.

Outback Glamping RV
Stay at the Outback rv and have a wonderful outdoor experience with all the comforts of home. Your stationery rv has a huge deck, the river is so close, you have a firepit and a gas grill, a queen bed, a full kitchen, and the living room has a sofa bed, in case you need two beds, but its for two people max.
Everything is furnished for cooking and staying here. Big flat screen tv in the living room and even a faux fireplace! NO AC, don't need it here in our cool climate. Rustic wonderful! and the price is great too, stay by the river and enjoy nature.
